Recipe: Hot, Buttery, Flaky Biscuits: Gluten-Free, Nut-Free
I bought a bag of Namaste’s Perfect Flour Blend and been playing around with some recipes. My most successful one has been a (slightly) adapted version of their drop scones.
Oh, I am obsessed and cannot stop making and devouring these.
Below is my version of their recipe. And below that are pictures of step-by-step.
And, if you try these, let me know!

Hot, Buttery, Flaky Biscuits, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free
Makes 8-10 biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups Namaste Foods Perfect Flour Blend
2/3 cup milk, (add additional milk by tablespoons until you get the correct texture of a drop biscuit)
1 egg
3 t baking powder
1 t Kosher salt (and more for pinches to sprinkle on top)
3 t sugar in the raw
8 T cold organic butter
Directions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Combine the egg and milk and set aside.
Combine dry ingredients by cutting in butter with a pastry cutter until butter is the size of small peas.
Add wet ingredients all at once and toss gently with a fork until mixture barely stays together but is wet. (If needed: add more milk tablespoon by tablespoon until mixture is sticky, and stays together in a dough form.)
Shape rounds of batter into a pleasing biscuit shape, (shape gently, don't over compress them) and place onto baking sheet lined with parchment and sprinkle with a light pinch of salt. Bake for 20-22 minutes until golden brown and fragrant.
