The Skinny is an interesting concept and really one of common sense. It's also the whole premise of the book "French Women Don't Get Fat: The Secret of Eating For Pleasure"
by Mireille Guiliano. The book itself is a fluff piece, but the premise is correct.

i agree totally--so interesting to see the comments on the bruni blog--some really took what he said and twisted it to mean something else: wasteful, rich women throwing food away. which really is not what i thought he meant at all.
