Two Bites

Vegan cupcakes in the Times. What’s the big deal? Anyone, everyone these days, can replace the dairy and make a dessert. Dairy free, wheat free, sugar free, that is the new challenge, and that is much more difficult, my friend.

Made the NYT Granola recipe and shared it. Happy crunching and munching was had for two days and then: “Might you have any left?” Seems that this granola was gift worthy.

I noticed that City Bakery started making vegan chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies. I was tempted to give them a shot the other day.

funny you should mention that. i walked by his organic store last weekend that sells those products. i talked to the sales clerk--none of the products are wheat free and they have no intention of doing any GF products, which is a real shame. i think murray is missing out on a large segment of customers like you and me!
